About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor in an SEN setting, you will:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher
  • Support students with SEND and SEMH needs in small classes or one-to-one
  • Promote positive behaviour and a supportive learning environment
  • Work alongside experienced SEN professionals to ensure students feel safe, included, and engaged

These roles are ideal for:

  • Experienced Teaching Assistants or Learning Mentors ready to step up
  • Graduates exploring a career in teaching or education
  • Individuals with youth work or care experience looking to transition into schools
What We're Looking For
  • Experience supporting young people in education, care, or youth settings
  • Confidence managing classroom behaviour in a positive, calm way
  • An understanding of, or willingness to learn about, SEND and SEMH needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • A flexible, patient, and resilient approach to challenges
  • A degree or Level 3 qualification is desirable, but not essential if you have relevant experience.
