Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic SEND and Alternative Provision Change Programme Manager to lead the design, development, and delivery of Alternative Provision initiatives for children, young people, and families. This is a unique opportunity to shape services that deliver excellent outcomes and value for money, driven by both local priorities and the DfE SEND and Alternative Provision Change Programme.

You will lead complex workstreams, collaborate with schools, families, health partners, and other stakeholders, and ensure programmes are innovative, evidence-based, and sustainable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the SEND and Alternative Provision Change Programme.
  • Design and implement services and initiatives that meet the needs of children and young people with SEND or requiring Alternative Provision.
  • Ensure compliance with national policy, local priorities, and statutory obligations.
  • Build strong partnerships with schools, families, and external agencies.
  • Monitor and report on programme outcomes, demonstrating impact and value for money.
What We re Looking For:
  • Proven experience in SEND, Alternative Provision, or education programme management.
  • Strong knowledge of DfE policy and SEND reforms.
  • Experience working within local authorities or educational governance structures.
  • Ability to lead complex projects and multi-stakeholder workstreams.
