Job summary

Wellfield Academy is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant to the SENCo to join our established team on a permanent, term-time only basis. The role focuses on supporting administrative processes, parent communication and multi‑agency involvement to release the SENCo to develop inclusive classroom practice.

You will work with Thrive provision, coordinate with staff, families and external agencies, and help ensure the day‑to‑day effectiveness of SEND support across the school.

Qualifications

• Experience or understanding of SEND desirable.
• Strong organisational skills and reliability.
• Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, parents and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Support the SENCo with administrative tasks and processes.
• Coordinate parent communications and multi-agency liaison.
• Contribute to Thrive provision coordination and day‑to‑day SEND support.
