A primary educational institution is seeking a dedicated and strategic leader to join as part-time SENCo. The successful candidate will lead the development and monitoring of SEND provision, ensuring high quality support for pupils with additional needs. This role requires strong leadership experience, an understanding of SEND legislation, and the ability to inspire others. We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and strategic leader to join our Extended Leadership Team as part time SENCo at Penbridge School. This is a key role within the school and represents an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant difference to the outcomes and life chances of pupils with SEND.
The successful candidate will lead the strategic development, implementation and monitoring of SEND provision across the schools ensuring high quality support for pupils with additional needs and disabilities.
You will hold (or will be willing to obtain) the National Award for SEN Coordination and have a strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practice. You will have leadership experience together with the ability to inspire and develop others and the confidence to lead change and drive improvement across SEND provision within the academy.
Formally known as Penhale Infant School and Newbridge Junior School, we officially joined together in September 2022 to form Penbridge Infants and Junior School. The infants site comprises of a nursery with 24 places for funded 2‑4 year olds and a 2‑form entry infant school with 180 children on the roll including 24 in our Rainbow Fish Inclusion Unit. The juniors site comprises of a 4‑form entry school with 440 children on the roll.
