Job Advert: Qualified SENCO - Two-Form Entry Primary School (Newham) Start Date: January

Veritas Education is seeking an experienced, fully qualified SENCO to join a vibrant two-form entry primary school in Newham from January. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about inclusion and committed to ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive.

Role Overview

As the school's SENCO, you will lead on all areas of SEND provision, working closely with teachers, support staff, parents and external agencies. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing and monitoring the needs of pupils with SEND, ensuring high-quality support and tailored interventions across the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the strategic development of the school's SEND provision
  • Manage and maintain the SEND register and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
  • Work with teaching staff to deliver high-quality, inclusive classroom practice
  • Coordinate and review EHCPs and liaise with external professionals
  • Lead on SEND-related training for staff
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, and the wider school community
Requirements
  • Qualified SENCO (National Award for SEN Coordination or equivalent) - essential
