At Randstad Tuition Services, we do education differently. We support young people who require intensive specialized educational support. We are seeking a highly specialized educator for a learner with a Prader Willi syndrome diagnosis and Global Developmental Delay.

We believe every child has something special to offer, and this learner needs a bespoke, personalised curriculum relevant to his needs.

Who You Are

You are not just a teacher; you are a therapeutic specialist who is patient, highly empathetic, and skilled in supporting learners with complex needs:

  • SEN Expertise is Essential
  • A qualified teacher, experienced tutor, or specialist with a proven background in supporting complex SEN, specifically learners with significant physical and cognitive challenges associated with Prader Willi Syndrome.
  • Communication & Interaction Specialist
  • Highly skilled in using contextual support to aid understanding.
  • Able to encourage communication for a learner who does not speak English but uses a few simple English words.
  • Able to build the crucial trust required to engage learners, responding better to people who know them well.
  • Comfortable providing necessary support for a learner who can follow simple instructions of two parts or more.
  • Able to provide a high level of support and adaptations to meet significant physical needs.
  • Experience supporting mobility below the level expected for their age.
  • Creative and Adaptive
  • You tailor sessions to specific targets, utilizing movement and multisensory strategies.
  • Skilled in delivering a personalised curriculum.
  • Able to implement curriculum goals focusing on phonics (essential) and hands‑on maths activities.
What You'll Do
  • Deliver 1:1 therapeutic tuition that is relationship-first, meeting the learner where they are-academically and emotionally.
  • Plan engaging sessions focusing on core academic areas, particularly English (writing level similar to KS1/6-7 years old) and Maths.
  • Focus on executive functioning, self-regulation, and confidence-understanding the learner can have emotional outbursts.
  • Work closely with the team to track learner progress on key non-academic KPIs (e.g., confidence, engagement).
  • Help the young person reconnect with the idea that they can learn.
Why Join Us?

  • Work Flexibly: Choose hours that fit your life.
  • Specialist Community: Access CPD and community—we support your growth as a human-centered, specialist educator.
