Job summary

An education service provider in the UK is seeking a passionate SEN Tutor to work 1:1 with a student with special educational needs in Thurrock, Essex. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching and supporting students with Autism, ADHD, and other related needs. SEN Tutor Based in Thurrock Essex - Full Time - ASAP Start

Remedy Education are looking for a Secondary Tutor to work 1:1 with a student with SEN, you will be teaching the students core subjects.

The young student has ASD, challenging behaviour and needs special support throughout the day.

SEN experience needed: You will work privately or through the local authorities on a 1:1 basis to make a difference to children with SEN including autism, ADHD, dyslexia and other additional needs.

Qualifications & Experience
  • QTS;or at least 1 years experience teaching and assessing English and / or Maths and / or Science in primary and / or secondary schools;
  • At least 2 years' experience working with SEN special educational needs such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, ADD, PDA, dysgraphia, and global developmental delay;
  • A proven record of being able to heighten pupil's confidence, self-esteem and love of learning;
  • 100% passion for education, commitment, reliability and honesty;
  • To creatively apply differentiated techniques to planning and teaching;
  • Excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills;
  • Incredible patience;
  • An excellent knowledge of different learning styles and how to use these;
  • The ability to deal with possible behaviour issues;
  • A Enhanced DBS on the update service;
  • A willingness to apply for public liability and professional indemnity insurance;
  • Register to work as self-employed.
