Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons tailored to individual SEN needs, often across multiple subjects.
Use creative and flexible approaches to overcome barriers to learning.
Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress regularly.
Build trusting, positive relationships with pupils, many of whom may have autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, or barriers to school‑based learning.
Support pupils' emotional, social, and behavioural development.
Work closely with parents/carers to foster a supportive home‑school partnership.
Implement consistent behaviour strategies rooted in empathy and restorative practice.
Promote a safe, calm, and nurturing learning environment.
Liaise with parents, carers, schools, and external professionals.
Contribute to EHCP reviews, personalised plans, and reintegration or transitional support.
Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
Remain alert to signs of vulnerability and act promptly to protect pupils.
