Job summary

A local tutoring service is seeking a SEN Tutor in Rochford. This role involves providing support to children with special educational needs, including those with ASD and ADHD. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and delivering lessons tailored to individual student needs and must hold a valid child workforce DBS. Flexible working hours will be offered.

• Experience working with SEND students is essential.
• Valid enhanced child workforce DBS is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide face to face support to children with ASD, ADHD, PDA, SEMH or PMLD.
• Plan lessons and resources tailored to the student's needs.
• Track the learning progress of the students and provide monthly reports.

SEN Tutor

Remedy Tutors are looking for SEN experienced tutors,teachers who are looking for flexible and rewarding work with a rewarding schedule in Rochford and surrounding areas.

This SEN tutor role involves:

• working with children with SEN and providing face to face support to children with ASD, ADHD, PDA, SEMH or PMLD at their homes or a local centre e.g., town hall, library or a centre;
• planning lessons and resources around the student's needs. This could be in the core subjects or life skills;
• plan and deliver engaging sessions;
• apply skills to raise pupils' confidence;
• manage children with challenging behaviour;
• track the learning progress of the student to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide monthly reports;
• potentially engage in outdoor activities such as learning about plants and nature with the student,
• learn about visuals to communicate in some cases.

Experience working with SEND students and a valid enhanced child workforce DBS are both essential.
