Job summary

Job description

Location: Howden
Salary: £26 – £33 per hour
Start Date: January 2026 or sooner

GSL Education require knowledgeable and compassionate SEN Tutors to work with pupils in Howden who need focused, personalised support outside of the classroom environment.

Role Overview

Provide structured 1:1 tuition for pupils with SEND such as autism, ADHD, SEMH and developmental delays.

Deliver core subjects or Functional Skills through clear, tailored learning plans.

Support students who may be disengaged or transitioning back into education.

Liaise with GSL Education and multi-agency partners to ensure consistency in support.

Promote resilience, independence and positive learning habits.

What We’re Looking For

QTS, Level 5+ SEN qualification or substantial experience in SEND tutoring.

Effective differentiation and behaviour management strategies.

A reassuring, patient approach and strong relationship-building skills.

Ability to work autonomously and maintain professional communication.

Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
