SEN Tutor / Special Educational Needs Tutor

Location

Hours

Flexible hours / potentially 10 to 30 hours available.

Responsibilities
  • Create and deliver an individualised learning plan tailored to the needs of the student.
  • Teach appropriate skills and mentor them through the learning units.
  • Take the initiative to resolve issues, anticipate needs, and deliver the relevant support.
  • Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on the young person's progress.
  • Communicate with parents over students' progress.
Requirements & Qualifications

As a Private Tutor, you will have a positive, approachable demeanour, strong organisational and communication skills with the natural ability to build strong, trusting relationship with the learner and their family.

As an experienced SEN Tutor, you will have a professional teaching/tutoring background, experience in teaching Maths/English, safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment for children or young people.

Current or previous jobs may include Part‑Time Tutor, Full‑Time Tutor, 1:1 Teaching Assistant, Full‑Time SEN Teacher, SEN Tutor, SEN Teaching Assistant, Residential Support Worker, Private Tutor, Personal Tutor, SEND Tutor, SEN Support Specialist or similar.
