As a Tutor

You will:

• Deliver personalised sessions tailored to the learner's needs.
• Provide consistent and supportive mentoring to help build emotional resilience and self‑confidence.
• Develop and implement a Personalised Communication Plan using preferred signals (hand gestures, cards, emojis, words).
• Practice communication strategies in calm situations to build familiarity and trust.

Position

Tutor – Contract or position start date: ASAP. Full‑time/part‑time: Varied. Hours: Various/flexible.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people. Experience of working with learners with SEN.

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

• Hold right to work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide references upon request.
• Possess up‑to‑date safeguarding training (or a willingness to undertake).
