Job summary

An educational support company in East Midlands is looking for a compassionate SEN Tutor to provide in-home support for a Year 9 student in Maths and English. The ideal candidate should have experience with SEN needs and deliver engaging sessions. A current Enhanced DBS and references covering the last 2 years are essential. This part-time role involves approximately 10 hours of work per week.

• Subjects : Maths and English
• Hours : 10 hours per week
• Location : In-home tuition (with adults present)

The student has been out of formal education for an extended period and currently demonstrates low engagement, though responds positively to 1 : 1 tailored support. We are looking for a tutor who is patient, understanding, and confident in re‑engaging learners with complex needs.

Key Requirements

• Ability to build rapport and deliver creative, engaging sessions
• Flexible and reliable, with strong communication skills
• Enhanced DBS (on the update service) and relevant safeguarding knowledge
• Required to provide references covering the last 2 years of employment
