Overview

Are you dedicated to supporting students with special educational needs to reach their full potential during their journey in education? Tradewind Recruitment are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a 1-1 basis with students in a range of secondary schools in the Dover area. These will be full time positions starting immediately until the end of the school year - daily rate of between £88.94 and £100 depending on experience.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Provide 1-1 support to a student with SEN helping them access the curriculum and develop essential skills
  • Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies for the student
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where the student feels valued and supported
  • Monitor the student\'s progress and feedback observations to the SENCO and teaching team
Requirements
  • Experience of working with students with SEN, preferably in a school setting would be preferred although any relevant experience would be considered
  • Understand the different learning styles and strategies needed to support diverse needs
  • Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for working with young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
