A leading educational trust is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant in Sutton-in-Ashfield. The role offers a salary between £21,661 and £22,353 per annum, working 37 hours a week, term-time only. Salary: NHS salary scale point 4-6 – £21,661 to £22,353 actual per annum; £25,185 to £25,989 FTE per annum. 37 hours per week, term‑time only (39 weeks per year). Fixed‑term contract until 31/08/2026. Commencement: As soon as possible.
We are looking for a patient, flexible and professional individual with SEND experience to support students in the classroom to ensure they make progress academically, socially and emotionally.
Ideal candidate will hold GCSE Maths and English, Grade 4/C or above, and a Level 3 qualification in childcare or as a Teaching Assistant. Good time‑keeping, the ability to work both as part of a team and independently, and excellent communication and organisational skills are essential. We seek a high‑calibre professional who can make a telling contribution to our team and work collaboratively with colleagues, supported by a strong SLT.
Support students with SEND in the classroom, ensuring academic, social and emotional progress.
• GCSE Maths and English, Grade 4/C or above.
• Level 3 qualification in childcare or Teaching Assistant.
• Experience working with SEND students (preferred).
