SEN Teaching Assistant – Team Teach Trained

Location: Manchester
Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time
Salary: £100 – £130 per day

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and managing student behaviour
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Offer reading and writing support to students who require additional assistance
  • Support the teacher in maintaining classroom discipline and encouraging positive behaviour
  • Provide 1:1/group interventions
  • Monitor students' progress
Required Qualifications
  • Team Teach trained
Experience
  • Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant
  • Experience working with students with challenging behaviour and SEN
  • Alternation Provision or specialist school experience is beneficial
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong understanding of young people with behavioural difficulties and SEN
  • Excellent behavioural management skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom environment
  • Familiarity with alternative provisions and specialist schools
