Pay Rate: £90 – £95 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a patient, compassionate, and proactive individual passionate about supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive and supportive school in Goring-by-Sea. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference by supporting pupils’ learning, development, and confidence.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with SEN.
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and adapting resources to meet individual needs.
  • Help create a structured, safe, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Support pupils in developing skills, confidence, and independence.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff to inform future support.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, additional learning needs, or behavioural challenges (preferred).
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting pupils.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively under teacher guidance.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
