Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)

Location: Angmering

Pay Rate: £90 – £95 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you a patient, empathetic, and proactive individual eager to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive and supportive school in Angmering. This is a rewarding opportunity to help pupils overcome learning challenges, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with SEN.
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and adapting resources to meet individual learning needs.
  • Help create a structured, safe, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Support pupils in developing academic skills, independence, and confidence.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff to inform future support.
Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN, additional learning needs, or behavioural challenges (preferred).
  • A calm, patient, and compassionate approach to working with pupils.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively under teacher guidance.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
