SEN Teaching Assistant / Support Worker

Location: Frodsham

Join Milk Education as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant in the Chester area. We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join one of our partner SEND schools, supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a rewarding opportunity to positively impact young people’s educational and personal development.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting students in developing communication, emotional regulation, and independence skills
  • Assisting in the delivery of structured lessons and learning activities
  • Helping to create a calm, inclusive, and adaptive learning environment
  • Supporting teachers with resource preparation and small-group interventions
  • Provide 1:1 support for students with additional learning, behavioural, or sensory needs
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with young people
  • Follow individual learning and support plans
  • Use initiative and adapt strategies to meet students’ varying needs
  • Contribute to intervention sessions and classroom planning
  • Ensure equal access to learning opportunities for all pupils
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external agencies
Qualifications / Candidate Requirements
  • Experience supporting students with SEN

  • Confident following school policies and health & safety procedures
