Pay: £101.40-£110 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? Our partner primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their inclusive and nurturing team immediately.

The school has excellent SEN provision and offers ongoing support and professional development for all staff.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs (including Autism, ADHD, speech and language, and social/emotional needs).
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Support pupils to engage with learning activities, develop social skills, and build confidence.
  • Create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Help monitor and record pupils' progress, reporting observations to staff and parents where required.
Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting (EYFS, KS1 or KS2).
  • A patient, caring, and flexible approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • An up-to-date Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply for one through us).
