Job summary

Remedy Education is currently recruiting caring SEN Teaching Assistants to work across East London schools. We have opportunities for full-time, part-time and flexible supply roles, with start ASAP. You will support children and young people with SEN to reach their potential.

The ideal candidate will be patient, proactive and capable of adapting to different school environments. An enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN is an advantage.
• A patient, empathetic and understanding approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to adapt to different school environments and pupil needs.
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning resources.
• Supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, communication and social interaction.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and emotional regulation.
• Adapting support to meet individual learning needs.
• Maintaining a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
