The School and Role

This Specialist Secondary School, based in Wickford are seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to students with moderate learning difficulties. As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will be working with students with varying mental health needs as well as additional learning needs. You will be working with students in the specialist classrooms, therapy rooms and sensory rooms. This school offers a holistic learning environment to teach students a range of life skills, equipped with a swimming pool, music studio, animal care shelters and art rooms. The provision also provides the students with a nurturing and calming environment for them to thrive in. SEN Teaching Assistants at this school must be prepared to support students not just in the classroom, but outside as well using the facilities to teach academic skills, life skills and social skills. Seeking SEN Teaching Assistants with resilience, confidence and a warm personality who can provide expert guidance to students with Autism, ADHD, SEN and physical disabilities.
