We're seeking a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant (SEN TA / LSA) to become part of their dedicated support team. This full‑time role, starting as soon as possible, involves working alongside an experienced Class Teacher and SENDCo to provide tailored assistance and promote positive learning experiences for children with additional needs.

About the Role
  • Providing 1:1 support and leading small group interventions.
  • Adapting learning activities to suit individual pupil needs.
  • Supporting inclusion and promoting emotional wellbeing.
  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
  • Contributing to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) documentation and reviews.
Experience Supporting One or More of the Following Needs is Beneficial
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
  • Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
  • Specific Learning Difficulties (e.g., Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia)
  • Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)
  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Global Developmental Delay (GDD), and more
The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Have previous experience working with children with special educational needs in a school, nursery, or care setting.
  • Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable to a range of learning styles and needs.
  • Be passionate about inclusive education and supporting children's holistic development.
  • Work well independently and as part of a dynamic team.
  • Hold a relevant qualification or bring equivalent experience (desirable but not essential).
