Job summary

Academics is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 2 at a primary school in Wendover, Buckinghamshire. You will work closely with the SENCO and class teachers to help pupils access learning and reach their potential.

The ideal candidate has prior SEN experience, ASD awareness, and a patient, proactive approach. The role involves supporting KS2 classes, adapting to changing needs, and providing emotional and behavioural support where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN.
• Understanding of ASD and other needs.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and individual SEN support across KS2.
• Work closely with the SENCO to implement support strategies and learning plans.
• Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD.
• Help children stay engaged and access the curriculum.
• Provide emotional, social, and behavioural support as needed.
