Job description

We are looking for strong Behavioural Teaching Assistants to work in a reputable Special Needs Secondary school based in Islington on a full-time long-term basis.

Successful candidates will have :
  • Previous experience working with children (Preferably vulnerable / children with Special Needs) with mild / complex Autism, Learning difficulties, Challenging / aggressive behaviour, Down syndrome, ADHD, hyper‑mobility and more.
  • Excellent Challenging Behaviour management.
  • Be able to provide social, emotional and academic support to students whilst building positive working relationships.
  • Be able to provide general classroom support whilst working alongside the classroom teacher.
  • Be able to hold 1 : 1 interventions with students outside of the classroom.
  • Be aware of individual needs and provide personalised support to meet the student's abilities.
  • Be willing to provide personal care.
  • Currently be holding a valid DBS or be willing to apply for one.
  • Be available ASAP
