Job summary

PK Education Limited is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support learners with additional needs in a Birmingham SEND school. Hours are 8:30am–3:30pm, term time only, starting ASAP for the full academic year.

You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons, support pupils with reading and writing, deliver targeted interventions, work 1:1 and in small groups, assist with behaviour management, and contribute to learning records.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant
• Experience working with children with special educational needs
• Desire to support inclusive education and learn
• Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivering engaging and meaningful learning across the curriculum
• Support pupils with reading, writing and classwork
• Lead and deliver targeted interventions to support development
• Work 1:1 and in small groups to provide personalised support
• Assist with behaviour management in a nurturing and positive way
• Observe pupils and contribute to learning records
• Develop curriculum knowledge as the school grows
• Help shape classroom routines and contribute to school culture
