Job summary

Selworthy Special School in Taunton, part of The Oak Partnership Trust, is seeking two permanent Teaching Assistants and one fixed-term MAT cover to support pupils with Special Educational Needs. The role is based at Selworthy campuses and offers a rewarding, varied career within a dedicated team.

The position is 31.25 hours per week during term time (8:45am-3:30pm, with inset days). Actual annual salary £18,215.

Qualifications

• Pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEN) support experience or ability to work with SEN pupils.
• Must be flexible, patient and kind to fit into a dedicated school team.
• Ability to contribute to an ambitious, supportive curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Assist pupils to access an ambitious curriculum under the school’s SEN strategy.
• Support learning activities and manage classroom routines.
• Promote pupil wellbeing and participate in school initiatives.
