SEN Teaching Assistant (Immediate Start - Rolling Contract)

Location: Eltham, SE9

Start Date: Immediate

Contract: Rolling basis (long-term placement)

We are seeking a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a Year 1 child with severe Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and severe Autism at a welcoming faith primary school in Eltham (SE9).

About the Role:

Work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to support the child's learning, communication, and overall development.

Follow individual learning and care plans tailored to the child's specific needs.

Use communication aids such as PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) - prior experience with PECS is highly desirable.

Provide personal care as required, ensuring the child's comfort, dignity, and well-being.

Contribute to creating a nurturing, structured, and positive environment where the child can thrive.

About You:

Experience supporting children with PMLD and/or Autism is essential.

Knowledge or experience of PECS or other alternative communication systems is desirable.

Kind, patient, and proactive in supporting children with complex needs.

Able to work collaboratively as part of a supportive school team.
