Overview

Job Title: Full-Time Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant

Location: Redbourn, Hertfordshire (AL3 postcode area)

Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday

Pay: £90 – £100 a day.

Responsibilities
  • Support children with a range of Special Educational Needs in the classroom and throughout the school day.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing tailored support for students.
  • Work closely with other staff members to track student progress and implement strategies for their individual needs.
  • Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist with the preparation of resources and classroom setup.
  • Provide pastoral support and encourage positive behaviour.
  • Support students during lunch, break times, and other non-teaching activities when needed.
  • Work collaboratively with parents and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
About You
  • Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably with Special Educational Needs.
  • Strong transferable skills, with the ability to adapt to various learning needs and environments.
  • A DBS check is required (or willingness to undergo a DBS check).
  • Patient, empathetic, and passionate about making a positive impact on students\' learning and development.
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently, using initiative when necessary.
  • A sense of humour and a positive, can-do attitude — this is a fun and exciting school environment!
