Job summary

Hays Education in Barnsley is urgently seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team for immediate placements. You will support students with special educational needs and help them access learning alongside qualified teachers.

We welcome applications from candidates already working with other agencies. The role offers flexible temporary to permanent shifts, with a day rate up to £120 per day, paid via PAYE or umbrella, plus training, well-being courses, and referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• Experience with children and SEN is essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.
• Relevant SEN support qualifications or training are preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEN in educational and personal development.
• Assist teachers in creating an inclusive learning environment.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support inside the classroom.
• Help with classroom management and administrative tasks.
