At Masterclass, we have been tasked in recruiting for a SEN teaching assistant for a wonderful primary school in the Worthing area. They provide a happy and safe environment where the children can thrive in their education. They have an amazing outdoor area to expand the children's learning outside the classroom setting. They are able to provide all the children with the resources they require in aiding their personal development, The school boast state of the art facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, sensory rooms and a forest school.

The successful candidate will have the skills to develop into a valued member of staff for the individual needs of the children. You will be working in a class of around 6 children who have complex needs, you would be assisting in personal care, feeding, and administering medication with the support of other staff. You will be fully immersed into the life of the school and encouraged to be proactive in your role alongside your colleagues.

Masterclass Education provide CPD recognised online training, covering subjects such as Safeguarding, Autism Awareness, Understanding Child Development, Violence Reduction, and more, to all of our candidates.

Job role:

• To support the children's development across all areas of their development
• Support and encourage positive behaviour management
• Work with groups of children or individuals (1-1) to support the class teacher in specific lessons.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment enabling children to feel relaxed and happy
• To establish positive relationships with the children and staff within the school
• To be committed to inclusive practice and making sure every child has the chance to be the best they can be
• To be able to provide personal care if needed
