SEN Teaching Assistants Needed - North Bristol

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people?

Do you have a calm, caring nature and a natural ability to build strong relationships?

We're looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team across a number of SEN Schools across North Bristol.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people aged 2-19 with additional needs, including ASD, SLD, SPD, PMLD, communication difficulties and behavior that challenges.

What you'll be doing:
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs in their learning, development and emotional growth
  • Working closely with class teachers to create engaging and interactive activities
  • Helping children develop social skills and positive relationships
  • Maintaining a safe, supportive and nurturing environment
What we're looking for:
  • A genuine interest in supporting young people, especially those with mental health needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy and resilience
  • Previous experience with PECS, Makaton, personal care (not required in all settings) and medication administration is a bonus - but not essential as full training will be given
The role:
  • Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, term time only
  • Pay: from £90 per day
  • Flexible: part-time or full-time options available
  • Start: Immediate starts available (with potential for permanent contracts for the right person)
