Job summary

A specialist education recruitment agency is seeking dynamic SEN Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 support for pupils with complex needs in the Warley area. Candidates should have at least a year's experience, a Level 2 or 3 qualification, and be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check. This role offers flexible working arrangements, supporting children in their learning and development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a teaching assistant or support assistant.
  • Experience supporting Primary age SEN pupils in a mainstream or SEN school.

Responsibilities

  • Support and teach pupils on a 1 : 1 basis.
  • Work Monday to Friday, term time only.

SEN 1 : 1 Teaching Assistants required for Specialist SEN and Primary schools in Quinton, Harbourne and the Sandwell area.

Do you have experience of supporting pupils with SEN needs and want flexible work? Then read on.

We are currently recruiting for dynamic SEN Teaching Assistants to work in SEN and Primary mainstream schools in the Quinton / Harbourne and Sandwell area.

  • You will be required to support and teach pupils on a 1 : 1 basis with ASC, speech and language difficulties, SEMH and complex needs (some with associated challenging behaviours).
  • This is a class-based role & you will be required to work Monday to Friday (Up to five days per week / some roles have flexible days ), Term time only.
  • We are looking for a dynamic SEN teaching assistant that is;
  • Able to support pupils under the guidance of the teacher
  • Able to consistently engage pupils patiently through praise, direction and individual support
  • You should have a minimum of 1 years experience as a teaching assistant / support assistant
  • You should hold a Level 2 or 3 teaching assistant qualification (OR hold an equivalent childcare qualification / or have a diploma / degree with relevant experience)
  • Experience of supporting Primary age SEN pupils within either a mainstream or SEN school or residential setting
  • You should hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS through SEN Central
