Job summary

Mana Education is partnering with a well-established SEN Trust supporting four specialist school sites across Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. They seek committed SEN Teaching Assistants to provide targeted support in nurturing environments.

Roles include 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with complex needs, collaboration with teachers and therapists, and delivery of EHCP targets. Flexible placements and ongoing professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN, ASC, ADHD or SEMH.
• Experience in specialist provisions, PRUs, care settings or residential environments.
• CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
• Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
• Support students with ADHD, ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition), SEMH and communication needs.
• Assist pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and PMLD.
• Support learners with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).
• Work alongside teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals to implement EHCP targets.
• Support pupils with complex health needs where required (training provided).
• Help manage behaviour positively using structured and therapeutic approaches.
• Encourage independence, emotional regulation and social development.

Salary: £95 - £120 per day (depending on experience, qualifications and role)

About You:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN, ASC, ADHD or SEMH.
• Experience in specialist provisions, PRUs, care settings or residential environments.
• CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
• Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools.

Desirable (but not essential):

• Team Teach or positive handling training.
• Makaton, PECS or communication-based training.
• Autism Awareness training.
• Experience supporting pupils with complex medical needs.
