Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges? We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) secondary school based in Sherbourne!

  • Support students aged 11–16 with SEN, SEMH, and behavioural needs
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning plans
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Help students develop social and academic skills in a trauma-informed environment

This short-stay alternative provision supports:

  • Students permanently excluded or at risk of exclusion
  • Pupils with medical needs or requiring SEND assessments

The school offers interventions such as emotional literacy, mentoring, sports coaching, anger management, mental health first aid, sensory activities, and family workshops.

  • Experience with SEND and SEMH
