Teach Now is recruiting for a dedicated and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Hemel Hempstead. This is a standout opportunity for an enthusiastic TA with experience in speech and language support, looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people across Key Stages 3–5.

The Role
  • Provide targeted speech and language support to students with identified needs.
  • Work 1 : 1 and in small groups, helping learners to develop communication, confidence, and social understanding.
  • Assist teachers and the SENCO in delivering tailored intervention plans.
  • Support students within the classroom, ensuring they remain engaged and motivated.
  • Help build a structured, positive learning environment that promotes independence.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in speech and language therapy or communication-focused interventions.
  • Previous experience supporting secondary-aged students.
  • SEN qualifications or relevant Level 2 / 3 TA certificates (beneficial but not essential).
