Job description

Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester

Contract: Long-term / Ongoing

Pay: £100-£120 per day (depending on qualifications experience)

We're looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a Secondary PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) in Oldham, providing flexible support and cover across two sites. This is a vital role within a nurturing, inclusive environment dedicated to helping young people with SEMH and behavioural needs re‑engage with learning.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold TA qualifications (Level 2 or above)
• Be a strong behaviour specialist, calm under pressure and consistent in approach
• Have experience in PRU, SEMH, or alternative provision settings
• Hold a full UK driving licence and a motorvehicle - the base site will vary daily
• Be adaptable, positive, and able to build genuine relationships with students
