Job summary

Timeplan Education Group seeks caring SEN Teaching Assistants to work across Milton Keynes in both primary and secondary settings. You will support pupils with diverse needs, delivering 1:1 and small-group help, and assist throughout the school day to foster confidence and independence.

Applicants should be patient and reliable, with a passion for helping children with additional needs. DBS renewal or update service is required. Term-time, full-time hours apply, with ASAP starts available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, including those with additional needs.
• SEN experience is desirable but not mandatory.
• Patient, caring and reliable with a proactive attitude.
• Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils.
• Comfortable supporting different learning abilities and adapting as needed.

Responsibilities

SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) - Milton Keynes

Location: Milton Keynes

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Contract: Term-time only

Start Date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for caring, enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work in primary and secondary schools across Milton Keynes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their full potential.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs and learning difficulties.
• Providing 1:1 support and working with small groups of students.
• Supporting children within the classroom and throughout the school day.
• Helping pupils access learning activities and develop their confidence and independence.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a supportive learning environment.
• Working closely with teachers and the wider school team.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has experience working with children or young people (SEN experience is desirable).
• Is patient, caring, understanding and reliable.
• Has a positive and proactive attitude.
• Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils.
• Is passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
• Is adaptable and confident supporting different learning abilities.

DBS Requirements:

Applicants must have an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new Enhanced DBS.
