The Role: Key Contributions

Your daily duties will involve:

  • Targeted Intervention: Delivering vital one-on-one and small group support tailored to individual student needs.
  • Curriculum Assistance: Collaborating with teaching staff to successfully implement personalised learning plans (PLPs).
  • Inclusive Environment: Actively contributing to the development of a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom atmosphere.
  • Administrative Aid: Assisting with lesson preparation, resource management, and tracking pupil progress.
  • Mentorship: Acting as a reliable role model and mentor, guiding students in their overall academic and social-emotional development.
Essential Applicant Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following:

  • Experience: A minimum of six months of previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant within a UK school setting.
  • Skills & Temperament: Demonstrate a patient, compassionate, and energetic approach when supporting pupils with special needs.
  • Communication: Possess strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
  • Compliance: Hold a current Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service is preferred) or be prepared to apply for a new one immediately.
  • Highly Desirable: Experience supporting a broad spectrum of SEN needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties) is a significant advantage.
