Location: Leeds LS10

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Contract Type: Full-Time / Temporary to Permanent contract

Salary: £90 - £95 per day

Start Date: ASAP or January 2026

Are you a SEN Teaching Assistant who is seeking a permanent role within a Specialist school? Do you have the patience, empathy, and dedication to support pupils as a SEN Teaching Assistant to achieve their full potential?

We are currently seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the LS10 area of Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them to thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language difficulties)
  • Create a nurturing and safe environment that promotes emotional well‑being
  • Support pupils in developing social skills and independence
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals as needed
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (school‑based or other relevant settings)
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
