Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: England, Greater London, London

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £90 - £120 Per day

Benefits: PAYE & CPD

Job Duties:
  • Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom
  • Assist the teacher in delivering individualised education plans
  • Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support students with personal care and emotional well‑being
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor student progress
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant SEN qualifications or experience
Education:

Level 2 or higher qualification in Teaching Assistance or Special Education

Experience:

Prior experience working with children with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of different learning styles and needs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Empathy and patience when working with students with SEN
Preferred Qualifications:
  • First Aid certification
  • Mental Health First Aid training
Working Conditions:
  • Work hours may vary based on school schedules
  • Requires standing, walking, and assisting students throughout the day
  • May involve working with students who have challenging behaviours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
