SEN Teaching Assistant - Newham

Are you looking for a new position as a SEN Teaching Assistant in Newham. If so, this may be the perfect position for you. Pertemps Education is working alongside a 2-form entry primary school who are seeking to appoint an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support students of primary age.

This will be a full-time, long-term position starting immediately till the end of the academic year. There will be an opportunity to go permanent upon review. The daily rate will be between £100 to £110 depending on your experience.

Key responsibilities:
  • Able to work across KS1 in both Year 1 and Year 2
  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
  • Assisting students with Autism and/or additional learning needs
  • Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class and minimise disruption
  • Providing feedback to teachers and parents
The ideal candidate:
  • Can work full-time, 5 days a week during term time
  • Can work from 08:30 AM to 03:30 PM
  • Have experience working with students with a range of SEND
  • Be enthusiastic and passionate about helping children reach their full potential
  • Comfortable working as part of a team and can form relationships
