Milk Education is recruiting caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join fantastic SEN schools across Derby, working on a long‑term or short‑term basis, starting immediately.

This is a brilliant opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs to reach their full potential in a positive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of additional needs.
  • Assist teachers in adapting lessons and learning activities to meet individual pupil targets.
  • Support pupils with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation throughout the school day.
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement, ensuring a calm and nurturing learning space.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN or additional learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient, caring attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively under the guidance of teachers and SEN staff.
  • A resilient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting pupils.
