Remedy Education is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work as Autism Support Assistants within a creative and inclusive primary school based in Tower Hamlets. This is a full-time role starting ASAP, perfect for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals passionate about supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
This SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism Support Assistant position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced SEN staff, therapists, and class teachers across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The school has outstanding facilities, a welcoming inclusion team, and a strong focus on supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly autism, ADHD, and behavioural needs.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism Support Assistant (1:1 ASD Provision)
SEN Teaching Assistant - ADHD Support Assistant
SEN Teaching Assistant - Behaviour Specialist
Support pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis with autism, ADHD and related SEN
Assist in creating a positive and engaging learning environment
Implement tailored strategies and personalised support plans
Use creativity and innovation to deliver inclusive activities
Collaborate with the SENCO, therapists and teachers to track pupil progress
A graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for SEN
Previous experience working with children or young people
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A calm, patient and proactive attitude
A genuine interest in supporting children with autism and additional needs
Full-time position - Monday to Friday, term-time only
