SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist School
Location: Dibden area
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour
Contract: Term Time Only

Are you motivated by helping children with complex needs reach their full potential? Teaching Personnel is seeking a compassionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated specialist school in Dibden. You’ll play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), physical disabilities, and various medical conditions.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Offer 1:1 and small-group support to pupils during lessons
  • Assist with communication systems such as PECS, Makaton, and sensory-based strategies
  • Work alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff to help deliver personalised education plans (IEPs)
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning space that supports emotional and academic development
  • Contribute to adapted learning tasks and therapeutic activities
