Job summary

Coventry City Council is seeking a caring, resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join Hollyfast School. You will support children with a range of additional and complex needs, helping with learning, communication, regulation, independence and wellbeing.

You will collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and families to ensure pupils feel safe, included and successful. The role focuses on nurturing confidence, voice and daily progress within a supportive school environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow individual EHCP outcomes, support plans, healthcare plans and risk assessments.
• Provide personal care, physical or medical support where required and appropriately trained.
• Use a calm, consistent approach to support children who may become anxious, distressed or dysregulated.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, families and other professionals.
