Job summary

A leading educational staffing agency is looking for a confident and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant in Burnley. You'll support children with additional needs in mainstream primary schools. This long-term role offers competitive daily pay and the chance to gain diverse experience across various educational settings. Ideal candidates have at least 6 months experience and a Level 2 qualification in Teaching Assistance.

SEN Teaching Assistant (Mainstream) – Burnley

£90 - £105 per day

Long term contract

Immediate start

Working hours: Mon to Fri, 8:30am to 3:30pm

About the role

We are looking for confident and passionate Teaching Assistants to join our team in the Burnley area. You will be working at mainstream primary schools, supporting children with additional needs, across various age groups.

Due to the high demand in schools at the moment, we are in the position to offer long-term or short-term roles to suit your needs.

This is an opportunity to gain experience in a variety of educational settings and age groups.

A Teaching Assistant\'s Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Class Teacher with tailoring lessons to varying needs
  • Assisting with group activities
  • Working with children on a 1:1 and group basis
  • Carrying out interventions where needed
  • Providing additional support to children with a range of SEN needs
  • Reporting to teachers/parents on progress
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of 6 months previous experience working within schools
  • Confident in communicating with parents, pupils and members of staff
  • Be able to handle difficult situations and behaviour efficiently
  • Flexible and able to cover where needed across EYFS-KS2
  • A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or relevant experience)
