SEN Teacher with KS4 Lead Responsibilities

Location: Hillingdon Manor School, Uxbridge

Salary: Up to £51,200.00 per annum dependent on experience (not pro rata)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

Start: December 2025

Since its opening in 1999, Hillingdon Manor School has offered a unique mix of education and support to its pupils within a wide spectrum of needs and abilities. Personalised teaching and learning in an autism specific environment allow pupils' individual needs to be addressed completely and their capabilities fully realised. All students are supported to learn at their own level through personalised teaching and differentiated lessons based on the National Curriculum. As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teacher to join our close-knit team at Hillingdon Manor School in Uxbridge.

About the Role

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our close-knit team on our Secondary Site, teaching pupils aged 11-19. This role includes KS4 Lead responsibilities, offering an excellent opportunity for ambitious teachers aspiring to middle leadership positions.

You will:
  • Deliver engaging and personalised lessons tailored to pupils' educational needs
  • Lead in a curriculum area, providing guidance and support to staff within KS4
  • Work closely with support staff to ensure pupils receive the assistance they require
  • Promote the school's vision, values, and culture while fostering a positive learning environment
  • Provide feedback to Senior Leadership, parents, and carers on pupil progress
  • Plan and implement creative, differentiated teaching approaches to maximise achievement
  • Manage challenging behaviours positively and proactively
Who We're Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) essential
  • Previous experience teaching in an SEN school or extensive experience working with pupils with complex additional needs
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that motivate pupils

We reserve the right to close the vacancy early if we receive a high volume of suitable applications.
