Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd is recruiting a SEN Teacher for a Northampton school. The role involves planning and delivering differentiated lessons for students with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH.

You will develop IEPs, track progress, and work with TAs and external professionals. The successful candidate will hold QTS, have SEN experience (desirable), and demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• QTS essential.
• SEN experience desirable.
• Strong understanding of a range of SEN and effective support strategies.
• Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and families.
• Commitment to inclusive education and ongoing professional development.
• Enhanced DBS check and professional references required or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet a range of SEN needs.
• Support students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
• Develop and implement IEPs and personalised learning strategies.
• Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Use varied teaching approaches to match individual learning styles.
• Monitor, assess, and track student progress and adapt strategies.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals.
• Promote positive behaviour and social/emotional skills.
• Communicate progress and wellbeing updates with parents and carers.
