Starfyn Education are recruiting a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a Special Needs School in Kingston Borough, supporting children and young people aged 4–19 with SEND. You will plan engaging lessons and adapt resources to meet diverse learning needs and develop communication, independence and confidence.

Formación

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have experience teaching pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
• Demonstrate a good understanding of differentiated teaching and individual learning plans.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet pupils’ individual learning needs and abilities.
• Adapt teaching approaches and resources to support pupils with SEND, including autism and complex needs.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other professionals to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Support pupils’ communication, social development, emotional well-being and independence.
• Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, adapting learning activities to support individual targets and outcomes.
• Implement appropriate behaviour-support strategies and promote positive interactions.
• Liaise with colleagues, parents and relevant professionals to ensure a consistent approach to pupil development.
• Maintain a safe, stimulating and structured learning environment where every pupil is encouraged to participate and succeed.
